The Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity will be dedicating two newly constructed homes and welcoming new families to those homes on Saturday. The organization says in a media release today that the dedications have been delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic and associated materials supply chain issues, and labor shortages.

The two homes are part of a duplex at 125 ad 127 Madison Avenue in the city's Westside neighborhood. According to the media release, Carolyn Parris and her son Loel - and Geneva Samuel and her son Syphear will be moving into their new homes on Saturday. The dedication ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 AM.

The families will be welcomed by the volunteers and construction crews that have worked on the home over the past few years, as well as Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity staff, donors, and neighbors who have all contributed to making this long-awaited dream of homeownership possible for the families.

We are especially grateful to the staff, volunteers, homeowners, sponsors, and donors that supported this project. We are moved by the time, talent, and contributions that made this project feasible. A joyous occasion after a long challenging period gives us resiliency for the next homes. ~ CBHFH CEO Carolyn Valli

The homeowners don't simply ask for a house and get one... they actively take part in the home construction process. According to CBHFH, as part of Habitat’s Sweat Equity requirement for homeownership, both families have been working alongside the volunteers and construction crew.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
