A Pittsfield man was sentenced to 18 months for using a stuffed animal to, well, stuff it. However, he did so with heroin and several rounds of ammo.

According to the Berkshire Eagle, Devon Fitts pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on Wednesday to one count each of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card.

Fitts will begin serving his sentence on Friday after Judge John Agostini agreed to stay the imposition of his sentence to tend to family matters.

As stated in the report, Fitts will serve his sentence in the Berkshire County Jail and House of Corrections. He will receive credit for time served.

Fitts, along with Sean Ward, was arrested in March 2016 after a raid of his home on Montgomery Ave. The Berkshire County Drug Task Force recovered over $5,000 in cash, about $1,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine, and over 30 rounds of ammunition.
