Hundreds of stores are being closed across the U.S. Here are some of the notable chains shutting down locations.

The first wave of stores are already reopened. A second wave is scheduled for next month and will include these stores.

At least one chain is buying up several leases of former Big Lots stores as part of an aggressive expansion plan.

The lease sales offer a preview of which states might be seeing less of this chain in the future.

Some sad news for those of you who love shopping. Big Lots says it will be closing almost 90 locations in several states including Massachusetts.

The worst thing in the world for us consumers is when a favorite restaurant or retail store that we've had a long history with suddenly closes down.
