The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is urging anyone who has attended a large gathering in the past two weeks to get tested for COVID-19. This testing will be provided at no cost and is open to anyone, even if you're not showing symptoms.

According to the state, COVID-19 can spread easily and quickly in large groups of people who are in close contact. Some people do not have symptoms but may have the virus and could spread the virus to others. If you participated in a large gathering, you should get tested.

Free testing is available at various locations throughout Massachusetts. The full list is available here, but the following information is for Berkshire County. You MUST make an appointment.

  • Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, July 18, 12 pm - 7 pm. Please call 1-855-262-5465 to make an appointment.
