If your kids are looking for something fun to do this summer and you are struggling to put something new in front of them, you may be interested in a new program offered by the city of Pittsfield. There will be all kinds of activities and they will all be held in various local parks throughout the City of Pittsfield.

The City of Pittsfield Department of Community Development Recreation Program has announced that beginning next Tuesday, June 29th, “Make Your Own Summer of Fun” activities will be held at various city parks through August 26th.  

“Make Your Own Summer of Fun” offers a variety of recreation activities to Pittsfield children at no cost. You can drop in, say hello, pick up supplies for fun summer activities, and/or participate when a special activity is scheduled.

The summer activities will get started Tuesday, June 29th at the Common with Make Your Own Book/Journal from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Then, on Thursday, July 1st there will be a Draw/Color Your Own Masterpiece activity at Durant Park from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  

The program will run for nine weeks and rotate between several parks in the city. An accompanying adult is recommended when a participant picks up materials or participates in a special activity.
