Have you ever considered a career in one of the many public service departments here in Berkshire County? If so, there is an event coming up that you will definitely want to attend.  

Anyone interested in finding out more about local public service departments such as the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office, Pittsfield Police Department, and local Emergency Medical Services, should plan on attending this informative event.  

The 3-hour ‘National Guard Public Service Career Expo’ is being hosted by The Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office, Massachusetts Army National Guard Recruiting-Berkshire County, and the Pittsfield Police Department. It’s open to anyone interested and it will run from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM this coming Tuesday, April 13th at the MA Army National Guard Recruiting, Berkshire County at 161 Vin Hebert Blvd in Pittsfield.

According to the events Facebook page, those attending will get to meet with representatives from the local public service departments who are currently hiring, including the Pittsfield Police Department, Berkshire County Sheriff's Office, MA Trial Court Probation Service, Local EMS and more. 

Also, Berkshire Community College with be at the event to give out information about their Criminal Justice and Fire Science Programs.  

If you go, you will also see static displays of equipment and ask questions to the people who are doing these jobs every single day here in the Berkshires and beyond. This event is free and open to the public for job seekers.
