A 41-year-old Pittsfield man pleaded guilty to several charges on Friday and was sent to state prison.

Bruce Trudeau was given concurrent prison sentences by Judge John Agostini after admitting to breaking into several houses in the Berkshires between June 2016 and October 2017.

Trudeau broke into a Pittsfield home in June 2016 and assaulted a 29-year-old female during the incident, a charge he also pleaded guilty to. The 2017 break-ins took place in Hancock and Pittsfield.

According to the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office, Judge Agostini ordered that Trudeau serve concurrent 4 to 6 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on multiple charges of breaking and entering a building in the day time with intent to commit a felony and conspiracy.

He was given concurrent 1 year house of correction sentences on the other charges.
