A couple of reminders...many dogs are terrified of fireworks.  Shelters report the number of lost dogs increase around the 4th of July.  Left outside dogs often run away trying to escape the noise.  Also, not only is shooting off fireworks without a permit illegal in Massachusetts, just having fireworks in your possession could get you fined or arrested.
