Swimmer Struck By Boat On Onota Lake

On July 7, 2019 at approximately 4:20 PM, Pittsfield Police, Pittsfield Fire, and County Ambulance responded to the area of the Controy Pavilion on Onota Lake for a report of a person struck by a motor boat while swimming. 

The victim, Natasha Arigoni, age 32, of Pittsfield, was swimming off the shore line with a friend when she was struck by a boat operated by Sean Preston, age 31, also of Pittsfield. Ms. Arigoni was transported to Berkshire Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries to her lower leg. 

The investigation has been turned over to the Massachusetts Environmental Police.
