Two Years Of Bliss… And Counting
It was two years ago today (Friday) that a little girl stole my heart. We brought Rayne home from the Berkshire Humane Society on that day, and I cannot imagine not having her as part of our family. She was scared of her own shadow. She was what you might call a “fraidy” cat. It did not take long though for her to come around. We started her off in her own space. She was not thrilled about that. We got to hear her tell us all about it, all night long, for several nights at least. “Meow… meow… meow… meow… meow… meow…”
She was trouble from the get-go. What else would you expect from a kitten. She did her share of climbing and clawing. Through all that though, was constant cuteness. So, no matter what she did… who could be mad at her?
Rayne’s first Christmas…
Then there was the love affair with Dirty Fred…
Rayne is attached to me at the hip. Well, maybe at the shin I suppose. She never leaves my side and craves my attention. Since the pandemic began, I have been working from home, and she goes to work with me every morning. She is there before me each morning, waiting at my studio door. She runs in, picks a spot, and hangs out all day, save for a trip to her food or the cat box every so often. And then… she’s back.
Today...
Did I mention that she craves my attention? Any time that I am talking on my phone, she jumps up into my lap and climbs all over me until I am off the phone. I put her down, and she jumps back up. I put her down, and she jumps back up. I put her down… You get the point.
It’s Love…
