WATCH: Pittsfield Police Chief Commemorates Police Week Virtually

Today wraps up National Police week, designated by President John F. Kennedy in 1962 to honor both the current men and women of law enforcement and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

In light of the world's current situation, Pittsfield Police Chief Michael Wynn gave his yearly remarks virtually, rather than at The Common on First St. where the event normally takes place. Despite the challenges of not being able to gather as a large group, the department still wanted to make sure to honor the fallen and read the roll call.
