The juvenile was transported to the North Adams Police Department for processing and booking then transported to a juvenile detention center in Worcester MA. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Central Berkshire Juvenile Court in Pittsfield, MA to be arraigned on the following charges:

The investigation is still active and specific details need to be withheld as not to compromise the case. The 62-year-old male victim remains hospitalized but his condition is reported to have improved substantially.

I would like to thank the North Adams Police Detective Unit, North Adams Police Patrol Division, as well as the Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office for the hard work and dedication put into this case.
