Police in Pittsfield have made an arrest in the recent shooting incident that took place on Kent Avenue one week ago.

Members of the Pittsfield Police Department on July 7th responded to a shooting incident on Kent Avenue. A Pittsfield woman had been shot and sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The following day PPD investigators applied for and received an arrest warrant charging 29-year-old year old Springfield resident Myron Crapps with Assault and Battery by Discharge of a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.

Crapps was arrested on Monday (July 13) in Springfield by members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, Hamden County Sherriff’s Department Warrant Apprehension Unit, and Springfield Police Department Narcotics Unit.

The Pittsfield Police Department says that it thanks all of the involved agencies, including the Berkshire County Sherriff’s Department, who assisted with this investigation.
