A fun evening of music is being planned for downtown Pittsfield, outside at two “pocket parks” on North Street, and at a popular eateries parklet on North Street.

Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. Has announced that it will present Indoors Out! Music on North on Friday, October 1st, from 5 to 7 pm, at Sotille Park, Persip Park, and the parklet at the Marketplace Cafe. All three downtown locations will feature free outdoor performances by local performers who have also played with Berkshire Busk. The performances will be presented in partnership with First Fridays Artswalk which will occur from 5 to 8 pm on the same evening.

The Railroad Street Dreamers will be featured at Sotille Park and will play favorite songs from bands and artists like The Beatles, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, The Eagles, Tom Petty, and Jimmy Buffett.

Garrin Benfield will be featured at Persip Park, playing freestyle acoustic rock. His music is a blend of moody, guitar-driven rock and polyrhythmic groove, all run through the filter of a very serious singer/songwriter.

The Midnight Anthem will be featured at The Marketplace Cafe’s parklet at 53 North Street. They are a musical trio made up of Catherine, Sophia, and Grace, cousins by birth, but sisters at heart. The group has an uncanny knack for creating music that is both fun to listen to and touches the soul.

Indoors Out! Music on North is presented by Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. and funding has been provided by the Commonwealth Places Program created by MassDevelopment. It’s being presented in partnership with Berkshire Busk and First Fridays Artswalk.
