The Pittsfield Police Department is investigating an armed robbery in the city for the second straight day.

Pittsfield Police officials said via their Twitter page that they were called to the Angelina's location at 306 Wahconah Street. Patrol units, detectives and K-9 were all on scene. As of 8:45 p.m., the department said to avoid the area until further notice.

About 15 minutes after the initial report, PPD officials stated that K-9 "recovered a BB gun along the track" and that the track was complete. No official word on whether or not the BB gun was used in the robbery.

No other details are currently available and the investigation is ongoing.

On Tuesday afternoon, police were investigating an armed robbery at the North Street Family Dollar location. No arrests have been made.
