
Single Vehicle Crash in Becket Claims Life of Torrington Man
A single vehicle collision early Monday morning in Becket has claimed the life of a Connecticut man. According to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, 23-year-old Nicholas Musco, of Torrington, Conn., was killed after he failed to navigate a curve on Jacobs Ladder Road near Jester Lane in Becket in the early morning hours of Monday.
According to a press release from the District Attorney’s Office, Musco was traveling northeast in a 2008 Jeep Wrangler when the vehicle inadvertently left the roadway and then ultimately struck a utility pole.
The Becket Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, State Police Crime Scene Services, State Police Collision Analysis, and Reconstruction Section, Becket Fire, and Becket EMS all responded to the scene shortly before 5 a.m.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took custody of the body. The collision itself remains under investigation. Authorities are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the accident or who may have some information about the collision to contact the Becket Police Department, which can be reached at (413) 623-6010.
