One of the big questions seen on social media Friday night was, "what is happening on Elm Street?"

A shooting took place at the home located at 70 Elm St., leaving two men wounded. The Pittsfield Police responded to the shooting after the ShotSpotter system went off around 6 p.m.

The two shooting victims did not seem to have injuries that were life threatening as they were transported to BMC, according to police. A report from the Berkshire Eagle stated that officers had guns drawn as they encountered the black male with his hands up in the backyard of the home, while the other victim was inside before being stretchered.

A little before 1 a.m., several members of the Pittsfield Police were still on scene investigating the shooting and planned on being there for quite a while more. Other vehicles could be seen driving around the neighborhood, although it is believed that there was not another shooter involved, or at large.
