1Berkshire Ninth Virtual Town Hall Will Focus On 2020 Census
1Berkshire has announced its ninth Virtual Town Hall conversation to take place on Wednesday, July 1st at 10:00 AM. The conversation this time around will focus on the 2020 Census.
1Berkshire President and CEO Jonathan Butler a panel that will include experts at the regional and local level who will offer insight into the 2020 Census, why it is critical for the region’s long-term success, and how viewers can get involved in ensuring a complete count for the region during the era of COVID-19.
The US Census provides data that supports a tremendous amount of decision making, including federal spending, emergency preparedness, and congressional reapportionment. In the Berkshires, where we have seen our population decline throughout the past two generations, a complete and accurate count was already a top priority. With the COVID-19 pandemic upon us, the importance of a complete 2020 Census has only increased. ~ Jonathan Butler.
