Line painting on North Street in Pittsfield: June 26th -30th!

The City of Pittsfield has scheduled some line painting that will likely impact travel, but hopefully not too badly. A media release from the Office of Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer says that the line painting has been scheduled to take place on North Street between Sunday and Thursday.

Work is scheduled for the stretch of North Street downtown...

The line painting will be conducted at night and overnight between the hours of 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM along the stretch of North Street from Park Square to Berkshire Medical Center. The evening and overnight schedule should minimize the impact on North Street traffic. The work will wrap up on Thursday morning, assuming all goes according to plan. Motorists should expect some parking restrictions, due to the work beginning at 8:00 PM each day.

The work schedule does indeed depend on the weather conditions...

According to officials, the work is subject to weather conditions, which means rain could extend the schedule out a bit longer. For now, expect that the work will start on Sunday (6/26) and conclude on Thursday (6/30).

The city, according to the media release, thanks you for your patience during the duration of the line painting schedule.

We will update this story if the work schedule is delayed or extended because of the weather.
