What to do with Those Thanksgiving Leftovers
Now that you spent all day cooking Thanksgiving Dinner, and your loving family demolished it in 20 minutes… its time to consider what to do with all those yummy leftovers. It’s already a given that everyone is going to want to take some home with them, but there always seems to be plenty left when the smoke clears. So, what to do. Of course, I know this year is different from all other years in that mostly, we didn’t have that normally large family gathering, but you get the idea.
We’ll start with the obvious and work our way up from there:
Turkey Sandwich – You can go simple with turkey and mayo or throw bit of everything on there.
Turkey Soup – A little stock, some chopped veggies, and a turkey leg can go a long way.
Turkey Pot Pie – Go the traditional route or throw it all in there.
Turkey Cranberry wraps – Some flour tortillas, turkey (duh), stuffing, cranberry sauce. Yum!
Turkey Chili – Just like regular meat-based chili, but now its turkey. Make it spicy!
Turkey Enchiladas – Just like beef Enchiladas, sub in turkey. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it.
Turkey Tacos – Traditional tacos with turkey instead or throw in some other leftovers too.
Turkey Tetrazzini – Classic!
Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole – Throw it all in a casserole dish and stick it in the oven!
Those are just a few ideas. There are so many others. Put those search terms in the google machine and you will find hundreds of recipes. Of course, you can always just put together another plate of everything. I say... get creative!
