Markey Featured Speaker Tonight (Zoom)
It's hard to believe that we are less than one month away from the November election. If you are looking for a way to get geared up for Election Day on November 3rd, this may be a sure-fire way to do so. Here's a great opportunity to hear directly from Senator Ed Markey.
The Berkshire Democratic Brigades' monthly meeting will feature guest speaker Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey tonight (Tuesday, Oct. 6) at 7pm online via Zoom. The meeting is free and open to the public.
Senator Markey recently won the Democratic primary against challenger Joe Kennedy III. Senator Edward J. Markey is a consumer champion and national leader on energy, environmental protection and telecommunications policy, and has a prolific legislative record on major issues across the policy spectrum and a deep commitment to improving the lives of the people of Massachusetts and our country. He is the author of some of the most important Wall Street reform laws since the Great Depression, including statutes that strengthened penalties against insider trading, improved federal oversight over the stock and futures markets, and reformed regulation of the government securities market.
To attend Tuesday's meeting, register online here. The Berkshire Democratic Brigades are the Berkshires' countywide Democratic organization. The Brigades are organizing volunteer get-out-the-vote activities that can be done from home, including writing letters to voters, phonebanking, and sending texts.
In addition, they are providing "Berkshires for Biden/Harris" lawn signs for a donation of $15 or more. For more information visit www.Berkshirebrigades.com or email info@berkshirebrigades.com.
